Over time, shower heads can become clogged with mineral deposits, reducing water flow and affecting your shower experience. Fortunately, cleaning your shower head is quick and easy—no special tools required!

What You’ll Need:

  • White vinegar
  • A plastic bag
  • A rubber band or twist tie
  • An old toothbrush (optional)

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Remove the Shower Head (Optional):
If your shower head is easy to unscrew, remove it for a more thorough clean. Otherwise, you can clean it in place.
  2. Soak in Vinegar:
Fill a plastic bag with white vinegar and secure it around the shower head using a rubber band or twist tie. Make sure the head is fully submerged in the vinegar. Let it soak for at least 1 hour, or overnight for tough buildup.
  3. Scrub and Rinse:
After soaking, remove the bag and run hot water through the shower head to flush out loosened debris. Use an old toothbrush to scrub any remaining residue around the nozzles.
  4. Reattach and Test:
If you removed the shower head, reattach it and run hot water for a few minutes. You should notice improved water pressure and flow.

Tip: To prevent future buildup, clean your shower head every couple of months, especially if you have hard water.

A clean shower head doesn’t just improve performance—it also helps you feel fresher and more refreshed every day!
