When you bought a home, you might not have realized that you also signed up to do maintenance to it. Just like with anything else, without maintenance, your home will start falling apart. It might not be immediate, but all the small details that you neglect will come back to haunt you.
One of the best methods to use is to have a good maintenance schedule. By having a checklist and spending 10-15 minutes each week, you can cover everything needed in a year. Of course, there are some jobs that you can’t perform on your own, but part of your maintenance schedule should be to check for issues around the home that you might need to hire someone to fix.
Dividing everything up into smaller jobs spread out over the year is going to make you much more likely to get them done than taking one weekend every year where you try to do everything at once.
