Are you concerned with your water usage? Some worry about the rate at which we use our fresh water, while others consider the cost of their water.
Whatever the reason, one item to check for water waste is your faucet. Faucet flow rate is measured in gallons per minute, and it should be running at about a single gallon per minute.
If you want to measure your flow rate, the simplest way is to fill up a measuring container for 15 seconds and then multiply the amount of water by 4 to get the flow rate per minute. If it is high, you have the option to install an aerator on the faucet which will maintain good pressure on the water while using less water. If your flow rate is very low on the other hand, you might need to look at your water pressure in your home. It could be you need to adjust your pressure regulator.
