Do you have those annoying tiny fruit flies in your home? Here are a few suggestions to help you get rid of those pesky flies.
The first suggestion is to wipe down all your countertops and clean your sinks of all food particles. Fruit flies do not like clean surfaces.
The next suggestion is to inspect all fruits and vegetables that are left out in your home. Even the smallest dent or scratch in a fruit or vegetable can attract fruit flies. It could even be a fruit that has started to rot or mold at the bottom of your fruit bowl.
The last suggestion is to make your own fruit fly trap. There are fruit fly traps available to purchase, but this simple fruit fly trap will help you to get rid of fruit flies. Take a bowl or jar and fill it about halfway with apple cider vinegar, and then add a drop of dish soap on top of the vinegar. Next, secure plastic wrap on top with a rubber band. Poke small holes into plastic wrap. The vinegar will attract the fruit flies, and the dish soap will reduce surface tension, so the flies will not be able to fly off from the vinegar.
These are just a few suggestions to help you get rid of your pesky fruit fly problem.
