Electric versus Gas stoves

Also, electric stoves can be easier to clean than gas stoves. Most electric stoves can also simmer better and go to high heat more quickly than gas stoves. Although electric stoves respond slower when adjusting the temperature down or turning off the heat.

Another thing to consider is that gas stoves, depending on the area where you live, can be less expensive to purchase and operate than electric stoves. Just keep in mind that although a gas stove can be powered by butane, liquified petroleum, and propane, most gas stoves today are powered by natural gas. Natural gas will require a gas line to your house, which may not be available in your area. Gas stoves do offer more precise temperature control than electric stoves.
